About this Product
This lively rug was a fun weave and is bright and cheerful on the floor. It was made from a white sheet, and some colorful blue fabrics I found at a local craft recycle shop. It’s named “Wheels and Kisses” because the pattern in the striped portion is one used in an old overshot pattern of the same name. Overshot patterns add lively texture to a woven fabric. It is 25” x 37”.

How it’s Made
About your cotton rag rug:
All the fiber used in my cotton rugs is sourced from resale shops, so I know it is cotton and structurally sound. I hand cut it into rag strips and sort it by color. Sometimes I overdye the fabric before cutting to get the colors I need. Sometimes I overdye the rug after weaving, to unite the colors. I let you know about dying on the tag, so you don’t accidentally dye all the underware pink! I typically use cotton warp because it is sturdy and long wearing. Cotton rag rugs will naturally fray a bit. You can trim the frays or enjoy the texture! Hand wash with a mild soap, roll in a towel, and dry flat to keep it in good shape.
