About this Product
This rug is woven in an Overshot pattern that gives it movement and texture. I liked it, but felt it was too "busy" in appearance for what I had in mind, so I overdyed it. It now looks like a summer night, the sun is fully down, but you can still see a hint of the clouds in the sky. Soon, lightning bugs will begin to glow, and the night will turn magical. It is deep blue and 24" x 35".

How it’s Made
About your cotton rag rug:
All the fiber used in my cotton rugs is sourced from resale shops, so I know it is cotton and structurally sound. I hand cut it into rag strips and sort it by color. Sometimes I overdye the fabric before cutting to get the colors I need. Sometimes I overdye the rug after weaving, to unite the colors. I let you know about dying on the tag, so you don’t accidentally dye all the underware pink! I typically use cotton warp because it is sturdy and long wearing. Cotton rag rugs will naturally fray a bit. You can trim the frays or enjoy the texture! Hand wash with a mild soap, roll in a towel, and dry flat to keep it in good shape.
